50/50 disparity
[2019] - “Al-Jarima 2”, Zeez Collectiveis my contribution to Al Jarima 2, a two fold digital collage of scanned 50 bills of Lira and Dollar. As I was scanning and distorting the 50 dollar bill that has now become a gem in my country, the website www.rulesforuse.org kept popping up as a censoring banner whether on Photoshop or even on my offline printer. Needless to say Lebanon was nowhere to be found on that list of "rules for use" of the currency which led me to make the second distortion of the 50 000 LL bill, with a new website stating “make your own rules”.
